Maximizing the power and beauty of natural light, Cup’s exterior design features large rectangular glass panels at the front of the building, allowing light to freely flood into the store.

With its iron arched entrance and the long arched interior connecting The Cup Cafe and its neighbor Coco Tea, the building appears tall, spacious, and airy, making it ideal for Cup employees to work and relax every day without feeling cramped. The long arched interior is supported by iron and concrete columns with glazed and ceramic tile cladding, combining classic traditional beauty with a modern, open feel, featuring the brand’s signature and familiar colors.

While still using familiar materials like iron, wood, leather upholstery, enamel, and ceramics, Cup has applied them to the interior design, lighting fixtures, and door handles to better harmonize with the shop’s architecture. The old telephone booth, the arched iron frame of the main entrance, and the round glass panes in the doorways inside the shop all serve as the soul that binds seemingly disparate materials into a unified whole.
